Hold all tickets! is the cry that blares out from the racecourse speakers when a protest has been lodged, usually by a jockey, but can also be from the owner, trainer or steward and usually about alleged interference in a race which could have changed the win and places outcome.
If a protest is upheld by officials the runner that caused the interference is placed directly after the horse interfered with.
It can be disappointing to many punters especially if they have won money prior to the protest or conversely if the positions past the post change it can be joyous to those punters.
The idea behind this tie design is purely to add something quirky to the range and afterall it is part and parcel of the fabric of horse racing.
Because of its colourful/quirky design with various numbers on it and images of ticket purchasing options, it looks good on a tie and for those men looking for something different, offbeat or an alternative to my range of artistic illustrations this tie is a winner and also fits well into my âconversation starterâ ties- guaranteed to evoke comments and an easy introduction to communication.
It can be worn on any number of shirts but for contrast value would stand out more on shirts with plain coloured backgrounds, black, charcoal, white and any number of plain coloured backgrounds, dark or pale, but also because it is zany it could look good on all manner of shirt designs and, materials like denim.
In time it could become a classic tie because of its fashion difference and it certainly looks great, as a necktie.
The added attraction is that this design comes in a wider size- the width being 9cm, instead of the standard width of 8cm.
Wide tie: 9cm x 145cm long
