This design is inspired by the various images seen in and around the track at race meetings, including the Birdcage where the horses are paraded before a race and after at some race courses for the winners. (or in a winner’s enclosure) 1st, 2nd & 3rd past the post and sometimes 4th.
This design is on a cream colored tie and looks particularly smart on black/charcoal, white and grey shirts, but also on many other colored backgrounds, dark or pale colors.
The colors on the tie are predominantly black, white and grey with some light green showing on some images.
It makes a good contrast, a simple design, smart looking but not loud, therefore it can be worn in an informal or formal atmosphere.
